Valerie Azlynn was born and raised in New London, Connecticut. At seventeen, she moved to New York where she began her career performing in the theatre and singing with a reputable Manhattan-based Opera Company.
Valerie has a long list of television credits. She is known for her series regular role on the TBS comedy SULLIVAN & SON. More recently, she recurred for several seasons on Adam F. Goldberg’s ABC sitcom SCHOOLED. Other credits include a series regular role on the CBS comedy series WELCOME TO THE CAPTAIN, and memorable recurring parts on CASTLE (ABC), SMITH (CBS) and JOEY (NBC). She has appeared as a guest star on numerous shows, amongst which are: BALLERS, NCIS: LA, THE BIG BANG THEORY, TWO BROKE GIRLS, SOUTHLAND, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, CSI: NY, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, TWO AND A HALF MEN and HOT IN CLEVELAND.
In film, Valerie stars in BABYSITTER (alongside Max Burkholder, Amy Landecker and Lesley Ann Warren), as well as Gary Wheeler’s MOUNTAIN TOP. She was a lead in Universal’s remake of THE LITTLE RASCALS (playing “Miss Crabtree”) and Hallmark Hall of Fame’s ABC movie of the week REMEMBER SUNDAY. Previous films include TROPIC THUNDER, HANCOCK, BEWITCHED, POSEIDON and THE SURROGATES.
