Biography

Gillian Vigman will next be seen alongside Paul Giamatti in Alexander Payne’s comedy “The Holdovers”, written by David Hemingson. The film will be distributed theatrically by Focus Features this November.

In Television, Gillian was recently a Series Regular in Amazon Freevee’s comedy “Open Book”, created by Tom Kapinos (“Californication”). She recurs on HBO Max’s dramedy “The Sex Lives of College Girls”. And, she voices the role of Dr. T’Ana in the Paramount+ animated comedy “Star Trek: Lower Decks,” now in its fifth season. In film, Gillian co-stars in Julio Quintana’s “The Long Game” opposite Dennis Quaid & Jay Hernandez.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Gillian moved to Chicago to study improvisation and comedy at Improv Olympic and Second City. After touring with Second City, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career in front of the camera.

Shortly after landing in LA she became a Series Regular on the sketch comedy series “MadTV” (FOX), and later on “Sons & Daughters” (ABC). Gillian was a Series Regular on the CW’s drama LIFE SENTENCE in which she starred opposite Lucy Hale. She is often recognized for her role in “New Girl” (FOX) playing “Schmidt’s” angry and horny boss. Other recurring credits include “Life in Pieces” (CBS), “Dr. Ken” (ABC), “Lopez” (TV Land”), “Suburgatory” (ABC), “United States of Tara” (Showtime) and “The Defenders” (CBS), amongst others.

In film, Gillian is known for her playing “Stephanie” (Bradley Cooper’s wife) in all three of “The Hangover” films. She had a memorable role as “Pam” opposite Will Ferrell & John C Reilly in Adam McKay’s “Step Brothers.” Other feature appearances include Will Ferrell & Amy Poehler starrer “The House,” as well as Judd Apatow’s “The 40 Year-Old Virgin.”
